Madame, mange tak! Vicki, thanks for your words. The idea came from a book called Stitch Alchemy from Interweave Press. If you haven't tried fabric paper, you must. The textures and colors are so intriguing. I think there's a tutorial out there somewhere if you Google "fabric paper techniques." Sue
Suzanne, Thank you for finding me, I have checked out both your blogs. How do you keep up with 2? Anyway I love the things on this blog, birds very cute I like birds too. And the collages have a lot to look at. The other blog with those thought provoking images!!!You are a busy lady and I look forward to reading your blogs. Debbie
Thanks for your visit and good words, Magpie! The first blog is art stuff, the second kind of and art therapy type of thing I have been having fun with. If you have a chance to check out soulcollage it is very interesting.
Love your birds Suzanne all these wonderful colors, here in Denmark it's warm summer and I have not done much, it's 30 degrees outside. Håber du må få en rigtig god sommer. Hugs Anni
Youngest of 5 daughters of Quaker Mom and Danish Dad, MomWifeGrandma. Chaplain. My last position was offering spiritual support as a group facilitator in six different psychiatric populations. I loved my work, and miss it. But now I am spending much of my time playing with fibers, beads, bits and pieces of this and that. And looking at the world in a new way - infinity of art and beauty, color, texture and shape.
Hvor er det dog smukt, Suzanne - sikke en dejlig hobby du har med at lave stof om til kunst!
ReplyDeleteOh my - this bird garland is simply amazing! I must know how to make this! Absolutely beautiful - a wonderful gift for sure!
