I made this altered book (my second) for my sister's 70th birthday.
Hope she likes it. ~.~

Don't worry, Simon.
Thunder can't hurt us.
Or is it the raindrops falling
on your head?
My sweet boy.

I wonder where God found such exquisite orange tissue paper fabric.
One gorgeous, but shy garden bloom.

This is the front cover, back cover and one inside page of the graduation book I made for my oldest grandson. I included lots of found objects just like the "treasures" he and I spent hours collecting on our walks. Also a few tags. I was going to put a little monetary surprise in the pocket, but accidentally sewed it closed while adding ephemera~~~~. I also included 8 copies of pictures of the grad and his mom from the time he was a baby. I think the friends and family enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoyed the making of it. My studio is still pure chaos!

Phase III of Fabric Paper Project. Can't wait to see what happens next.
The main window of a very small, old and diminishing UMC church in my town. My church. I want this picture to inspire me and others to keep it alive. Any ideas?

Browsing Old Photos

The summer of my mosaic obsession. The table was sitting in a neighbor's yard with "free" sign. It will now live in this room until the house falls down, probably. Made from tiles and marbles and broken plates and cup handles, etc. etc.

Sunshine & Blooms

So blessed to see the SuN back out today. All EaRtH was celebrating!

Mother's Day Roses and Quote

Mother's Day Memories 2010

Crocheted Bead Bracelet

Pink & Brown Jewelry day. I decided to see if I could remember the crocheted bead bracelet I learned from Darcy at Jade Dog Beads. Yes, after she sent me the instructions.

Tiny Reunion T Shirt

This is a size 3-6 month onesie with our Family Reunion logo (one of three baby ones.) I wish you could see how tiny it is - about 7" from one sleeve to the other. I'll be distributing about 50 adult and kid T Shirts as well, when we get together at Mahoney State Park in Eastern Nebraska in July.

Fabric Color Wheel

I learned a LOT from this exercise from Art + Quilt. And really enjoyed the process.

Two Birdies

Art + Quilt exercises on Shape.
One was from a sketch following dog-walking. The other from my wacky brain. The heart is a piece of rusty tin can.

Shabby Chic Rose from Roben-Marie Tutorial

This was fun. Each one became easier, but I keep thinking I forgot a step and can no longer find the video. Thank you, Roben and all who shared their roses.
